College drop-off is more than a logistical milestone. It is a profound threshold for our children and for us as parents.

Yet after the dorm room is set up, the last hug is given, and we drive away, there is rarely space to take in what has happened. We may feel grief, pride, relief, uncertainty or, as is common, all of these all at once.

The Drop Off is a gathering for parents to pause and honor this transition in community. Together, we’ll share our stories, reflect on the meaning of this moment, and take part in a simple ritual to acknowledge this important rite of passage.
